Jan Verhoff created Spicy Salty Sweet Home in 2018 while renovating her home in Upper Arlington, Ohio. What started as a passion project turned into a full service design business. Jan founded Spicy Salty Sweet Home on the belief that your home should show your personality and that design can be equally elevated and thoughtful for daily life.

Jan’s passion for design and projects blossomed when her family purchased their second home in Upper Arlington and the home was in need of much love and work. The projects started then and have not stopped!
Jan is the heart and home of Spicy Salty Sweet Home. She works personally with every client to ensure that dreams and visions become real life. Jan’s approach of thoughtful design that balances personality and elevated style while remembering the importance of family friendly and daily life is the backbone of the company.
On a personal level, Jan cherishes the special connection and shared joy found in family travels, where exploring new places together creates lasting memories and inspiration. Simultaneously, she appreciates the comfort and grounding that comes from daily home life, finding contentment in simple, everyday routines and the love of your family even when not on an adventure.
